Maybe

If I could not see
maybe I would listen to you

If I could not hear
maybe I would see you

If I could not speak
maybe I would sign with you

If I could not move
maybe I would feel you

If I could turn inside out
maybe you would know me

Hi Shala,

You are prolific!

Hay Shala,

Curious, in this poem, how the "main character" supposes having heightened perception if only thier senses were altered or absent, while suggesting that the other character needs increased, or more literal stimuli in order to perceive or know. It's as if they need the opposite thing to happen in order to arrive at the same place - intimacy.

It is a long journey to intimacy yes?

That image you have chosen is beautiful, I really ilike the colours in it.

You may analyze my writing anytime my sister. I must say your perception is most deeply felt.
To answer you:

We often trick ourselves with are most exercised senses in order to define and perceive the inner place of our great loves which can misinterpret true intimacy. It is learning to understand the other with out the use of our common senses.

The last lines reflect the recognition of the other's need to see her fully uncoverd in order to understand and accept. While at the same, the one that would turn inside out understands that with total vulernability, she may receive the understanding she desperately needs for complete intimacy.

It is a long journey well worth the taking, yes.

Ironically, the image is displaying Saturn's rings turned "inside out".

Oh yes, of course, ...vulnerability.

"It is learning to understand the other with out the use of our common senses." Makes me think of being "still".

And yes, it is worth the journey (a good thing for me to remember today especially, when I am withdrawn and angry!)

Nice one - regarding Saturn's rings.
